Each Gauriputra idol is handcrafted from 100% recycled paper and finished in natural colors, so your visarjan can happen at home, in a bucket or tub, without a trace left behind. He dissolves completely in under two hours — no plaster, no chemicals, no rivers to worry about.

About this idol

Four-armed Ganesha in sukhasana dressed in a shimmering golden-yellow dhoti and shawl heavily trimmed with gold sequinned scalloped borders. Upper hands raised holding small gold implements, lower hands open with red-tipped fingers. He wears a matching golden pheta turban with a white feather plume and a green-stone brooch, layered gold-and-red jewelled necklaces with a red pendant, and drop earrings. Trunk turns left, red om-style tilak, a small grey mushak sits at his right on the gold pedestal, dominant golden scheme.

We do not ship idols. Every piece is hand-painted paper mache, and no amount of packaging survives a courier the way we’d want it to. More than that — carrying Bappa home is part of the celebration, and we’d rather you have that.
