About the Idols
Q: What are Gauriputra Ganesh idols made of?
A: Our idols are handcrafted from recycled paper and natural adhesives using the traditional paper-mâché technique. They are 100% eco-friendly and biodegradable—perfect for safe home immersion or composting.
Q: Are the idols painted with eco-safe colors?
A: Yes. We use natural and non-toxic, water-soluble paints to ensure your Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations stay environmentally conscious.
Q: Will the idols dissolve in water?
A: Yes, our idols are designed for easy and clean visarjan (immersion) in a home bucket or a water body without leaving behind pollutants or residue. We have tested the visrajan and found the idols dissolve within 2 hours. However, we recommend to leave Ganesh in water tub overnight.
Q: How many designs are available?
A: We offer a curated selection of 12, 15, and 18-inch idols, each with unique artistic styles. Each size comes in a limited number of hand-finished variations.
Orders & Pre-Booking
Q: How can I pre-book an idol?
A: Simply visit www.gauriputra.com, select your desired size and design, and complete the reservation. You can choose to pay online or pay during pickup.
Q: Can I choose the exact design?
A: You can select a preferred style from the available options, but due to the handcrafted nature, minor variations in finish or color may occur. Most of our idols come in five different colors. Accessories such as shawl, padgi, etc might have randomly chosen colors.
Q: How do I check my order status?
A: Log in to your account and view your orders anytime. You’ll also receive email with your order confirmation. Since we offer only local pick-up, please do not expect email with shipping details. The idols shall be available for pick up 2-4 days prior to the festival (which is on Aug 27th, 2025)
Q: Can I cancel my order?
A: Cancellations are allowed within 24 hours of placing the order, provided the idol hasn’t entered the our testing and packing process here in USA.
Pickup & Delivery
Q: Do you offer home delivery?
A: Currently, we only offer local pickup in #Dance Studio in Redmond, at select partner locations or at designated events. Home delivery may be added in future years based on your support and response
Q: Where can I pick up my idol?
A: You can pick up your Ganesh the weekend prior to the festival from #Dance Studio in Redmond, WA.

Date and Time. : August 23 & 24, 2025 between 11:00 - 20:00 PST
Returns & Damage
Q: What if my idol is damaged during pickup?
A: If you notice any damage at pickup, please report it immediately to our team. We will assess the issue and provide either a refund if applicable or offer a replacement based on availability.
Important Note: Once we personally inspect and hand over your idol, its care becomes your responsibility. We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for any damage that occurs beyond this point. We appreciate your understanding.
Q: Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
A: Due to the seasonal and handcrafted nature of our products, all sales are final. Refunds are only provided in case of proven transit damage or product mismatch.
Privacy & Safety
Q: Is my information safe on your website?
A: Absolutely. We take your privacy seriously. Your data is encrypted and only used to fulfill your order and keep you updated about Gauriputra.
Q: Will my data be shared with third parties?
A: We only share data with trusted partners necessary for payment, order management, or occasional promotional messages. You can opt-out of marketing anytime.
