Each Gauriputra idol is handcrafted from 100% recycled paper and finished in natural colors, so your visarjan can happen at home, in a bucket or tub, without a trace left behind. He dissolves completely in under two hours — no plaster, no chemicals, no rivers to worry about.

About this idol

Four-armed Ganesha seated on a golden round pedestal, trunk curled left, upper hands holding golden implements and lower hands in varada and abhaya. He wears a magenta-pink cloth pheta with a turquoise-green trim and a blue teardrop jewel at the brow. A teal-blue shawl drapes over a deep maroon dhoti with gold zari and sequin borders. Silver-and-turquoise beaded necklaces with round floral pendants, matching flower earrings, armlets and bangles. An orange tilak with Om marks the forehead over pink ears.

We do not ship idols. Every piece is hand-painted paper mache, and no amount of packaging survives a courier the way we’d want it to. More than that — carrying Bappa home is part of the celebration, and we’d rather you have that.
